You can also pay a bill by direct debit, telephone, post or in person.

Direct Debit

If you pay your council tax by Direct Debit you can choose to make payment on either the 7th, 14th, 21st or 28th of the month. This provides a degree of flexibility as to when the monthly payment of council tax is made.

Direct debit is an effective and easy way to pay your regular bills, as it is all done automatically by your bank. Setting up your direct debit could not be easier. We can set it up over the telephone, as follows:

We advise you to securely attach your payment to the tear-off voucher from your payment book or clearly print your name, address and customer reference number on the back of the cheque.

In person

You can visit any branch of the Municipal bank to make your payment by cheque, postal order, cash, or credit/debit card.

Opening times for the Municipal Bank are:

  • Monday, Tuesday and Thursday, 9am to 4.30pm
  • Wednesday, 10am to 4.30pm
  • Friday, 9am to 4pm
