Pay a bill
Detailed below are a variety of payment options. Payments can include rent, council tax, business rates, home insurance, home care etc.
Direct debit
Direct debit is an effective and easy way to pay your regular bills, as it is all done automatically by your bank. Setting up your direct debit could not be easier. We can set it up over the telephone, as follows:-
- Council tax - freephone 0800 163491
- Home insurance - telephone 01698 302245
- Business rates - telephone 01698 403903
- Rent - telephone your local housing office
You will need your bank details.
Alternatively, you can download the council tax and rent direct debit mandate forms.
Telephone
If you have a debit or credit card you can now pay 24 hours a day with our new automated telephone service. Call 01698 403130.
Post
You can send a cheque or postal order to:

We advise you to securely attach your payment to the tear-off voucher from your payment book or clearly print your name, address and customer reference number on the back of the cheque.
In person
You can visit any branch of the Municipal bank to make your payment by cheque, postal order, cash, or credit/debit card.
