Learn about local wildlife and help improve environment

Kingshill Nature Reserve

Local people in Wishaw and Allanton are being invited to learn more about the wildlife at Kingshill Local Nature Reserve and lend a hand help improve the site.

Our Greenspace Team are holding a Bio Blitz event on Wednesday 21 June from 10am to 4pm with activities for everyone throughout the day.

Staff will be hosting guided walks to see and learn about the wildlife that lives on the reserve, including butterflies, amphibians, dragonflies, frogs and moths.

They will also be planting wildflowers and building homes for amphibians.

To book a place, phone 01236 780636 or email greenspace@northlan.gov.uk.

This event is part of the Volunteering Matters Action Earth campaign, supported by Scottish Natural Heritage.
