Early Learning and Childcare survey

Have your say by taking part in our consultation on the future of Early Learning and Childcare in North Lanarkshire

By 2020, all eligible two year olds and all three and four year olds will be entitled to 1,140 hours of free early learning and childcare per year. This increase effectively doubles the current entitlement of 600 hours per year. This means that over the 38 weeks of the school year children could be in nursery for 30 hours a week.

North Lanarkshire Council is committed to providing a high quality and affordable early learning and childcare service that provides the flexibility to support parents to work, train or study. But what should this increase look like? What do families want in terms of early learning and childcare for their children?

Please help us inform our future plans by giving us your views on how you would like to use this entitlement. You can access and complete the online survey below.
