Online app 'Making Life Easier'

To mark the recent launch of the exciting new health and social care partnership website - Making Life Easier (MLE) - a presentation was made to a recent meeting of the Social Work Sub Committee.

MLE is an online service which provides people with a gateway to a whole range of supports. It's unique and easy to use, which means that early intervention and prevention is a reality for North Lanarkshire's residents. People can complete a self-assessment and the website provides personalised responses in the form of hints and tips, and signposting to local services, and when required, equipment to help people with problems in their homes.

Morag Dendy, who oversees self-directed support in North Lanarkshire said: "It was an excellent opportunity to showcase this latest partnership development to elected members. The expert app provides help and support on a wide variety of difficulties and concerns, including things like mental health, financial concerns, difficulties with daily activities or addiction issues.

Councillor Pat O'Rourke, Convener of Social Work Sub Committee said: "It was encouraging to hear about some the real partnership progress being made in delivering services to improve people's lives.

"The collaboration of knowledge and resources across all partner agencies has reaffirmed our commitment to making lives better in North Lanarkshire."
