New Stevenson Primary School relocated to a shared joint campus with St. Patrick's Primary Schoolin August 2006. It is a non-denominational, co-educational school of approximately 260 pupils between the ages of 5-12 years.

There is a Nursery Class attached to the school comprising 120 children between the ages of 3-5 years. There is also an integrated Language & Communication Unit.

All classes are organised according to schedules laid down by the Scottish Office Education Department and North Lanarkshire Council Education Department. Parents should note that the working capacity of the school may vary dependent upon the number of pupils at each stage and the way in which the classes are organised.

The New Build is a single storey building. As well as the teaching bays it has an extensive playground and an all weather Astroturf Pitch. There is also a Public Library attached to the school.

Pupils normally transfer from primary to secondary between the ages of 11.5 and 12.5 so that they will have the opportunity to complete at least four years of secondary education. Pupils from New Stevenston primary normally transfer to Brannock High School.
