North Lanarkshire Municipal Bank Ltd was formed during local government reorganisation in 1996.

Although we are an entirely independent limited company governed by the Banking and Companies Acts, we are closely linked to North Lanarkshire Council.

We offer a highly competitive rate of interest. Customers can be sure of the bank's financial security because we guarantee all deposits. This is in accordance with the definition of a 'municipal bank' under Section 103 of the Banking Act 1987 prior to its its repeal under SI 2001 no 3649.
