Dog fouling

Dog fouling is a health hazard, especially among children. Infection from dog waste can cause aches, dizziness, nausea, asthma and pneumonia, and in extreme cases can lead to eye disease and loss of vision.

Dog owners have a responsibility to clean up after their pets, or they face an £80 Fixed Penalty Notice. We provide free dog waste bags to make it easy for owners. These are available at our First Stop Shops.

If you see an owner who doesn’t clean up their dog’s waste, you can report it on 0345 143 0015 and help us tackle the problem.
