Volunteer NL is a project funded by UKSPF.  The project objective is to support and promote the development and enhancement of volunteering and volunteering opportunities in North Lanarkshire. The project seeks to engage volunteers who operate across a range of roles within North Lanarkshire Council services and offer wider support to volunteers operating in community groups and sporting clubs.

As a result of the project, It has been identified that volunteers may be available to support local club’s /organisations. The aim is to establish a link with the community boards to raise awareness of Volunteer NL and the resources available to local community groups.  It is anticipated that this will create an opportunity for Volunteer NL to work closely with local clubs to establish a structured and supported volunteer pathway.

As part of Volunteer NL project there are potential funding opportunities available on application to the Challenge Fund for local groups and organisations. Clubs that meet the application criteria will be considered for funding. Please see below link.

A representative will be attending the upcoming community board meetings and will be happy to answer questions in relation to Volunteer NL, or you can email Volunteering@northlan.gov.uk
