To be eligible for this one-off payment of £150 you must be:
- A householder living in North Lanarkshire (applications are limited to one per household).
- In work on a low income (check thresholds below).

Eligible income thresholds
The purpose of this fund is to assist residents who are on a low income but earn a little too much to be eligible for any other cost of living financial assistance being provided either by the Scottish or UK Governments.
There are different income thresholds depending on your age and circumstances. In all cases there is no longer a lower income limit but in order to be eligible for this payment applicants must NOT receive any means-tested benefits.* This is to make sure we are helping people who cannot get help elsewhere.
*means tested benefits include Universal Credit, child and working tax credits, income related Employment and Support Allowance (ESA), income-based Job Seekers Allowance, Income Support, Pension Credit.
Please note any disability benefits (DLA/PIP/AA) are disregarded and not included as income.
When and how to apply
Applications should be submitted as soon as possible. The sooner your application is received, the sooner you are likely to receive the payment.
The scheme will close before the end of March 2023. Once closed the form will be removed.

Applicants will also be offered free support and assistance from our team of experts within the council and our partner agencies. You will be asked if you would like to speak to someone about your benefits, debt advice and budgeting. You will also be offered advice on how stay warm while reducing your energy costs.
