Coronavirus enforcement information for businesses
Our Environmental Health and Trading Standards service has enforcement powers under the Health Protection (Coronavirus) (Restrictions and Requirements) (Local Levels) (Scotland) Regulations 2020.
This is to make sure that that social distancing and other measures to lessen the impact of the virus are are in place for businesses that are permitted to trade. It is also to make sure that businesses that aren't allowed to open only do so in line with Scotland's phased approach through and out of the COVID-19 crisis.
If you have any concerns about businesses that are open or issues relating to social distancing and, where applicable, other mitigating measures please email to tradingstandards@northlan.gov.uk
Advice is also available from Food Standards Scotland for food businesses.
