Community testing

Rapid coronavirus testing is available for people with and without symptoms in North Lanarkshire.

Not everyone who has coronavirus will have symptoms, so people could be spreading the disease without knowing it.

Testing for positive cases and encouraging those people to self-isolate means we have a better chance of stopping the virus spreading.

The community testing initiative, in partnership with NHS Lanarkshire, Scottish Government and the council, aims to drive down local COVID-19 rates and transmission by identifying positive cases more quickly.

It is really important you remember to record your test result, even if it is negative or void. Reporting results helps to give a better picture of the level of coronavirus in the community.

Regional Testing Sites 

Fleming House, Cumbernauld (8am-8pm)                            

Chapel lane Car Park, Airdrie (8am-8pm)              

Wishaw Sport Centre Car Park, Wishaw (8am – 8pm)

Aquatec Sport Centre Car Park, Motherwell (8am – 8pm)

Lateral flow testing devices can be collected from all of these sites.

To book a test, go to NHS Inform or call 0800 028 2816 if you cannot get online.

Anyone who receives a positive test result will be asked to self-isolate. Dedicated support is available to anyone who needs to self-isolate, including financial and food support. Contact North Lanarkshire Council's Community Assistance Helpline on 0300 555 0407, which is available Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm.
