Update on council services

A number of changes came into place from Monday 26 April following the easing of restrictions.

Registration services

A number of changes will come into force from Monday including an increase of the maximum number of people attending a marriage or civil partnership ceremony to 50 (both indoor and outdoor ceremonies). Physical distancing measures will continue to be in place and the increase in number of attendees only apply to those venues that are able to allow that number to attend safely.

In order to keep people as safe as possible in ceremony rooms in our registration offices and to comply with Scottish Government guidance,  the number of guests attending will be limited with physical distancing measures in place. Ceremony rooms can accommodate numbers as outlined below:

  • Airdrie Registration Office – 10 people
  • Cumbernauld Registration Office – 4 people
  • Motherwell Registration Office – 10 people

Antisocial Behaviour Community Safety Teams

As of Thursday 29 April, anti-social behaviour response officer activity will resume, limited to where anti-social behaviour can be witnessed from a distance.

Housing repairs

Internal routine housing repairs will recommence on Monday.

Buy Bank Scheme

Surveying work to assist with this scheme will restart on Monday.
