Cumbernauld Town Centre

Information about facilities and improvement works

Cumbernauld Town Centre

Cumbernauld was developed as a New Town in the 1950s and is our largest town. The town centre offers a range of major high street and independent stores, local services, leisure and educational facilities.

Town centre frameworks and Action Plans

We have developed a Framework and Action Plan for Cumbernauld Town Centre to guide management and change in the town centre for the next 10 years.

The Frameworks are supported by a Scottish Government commissioned review of the wider role and function of Town Centres with actions to tackle common issues and help deliver positive actions at a local level.

Town Centre Activities

In addition to the work we do, Town Centre Activities (TCA) provides CCTV monitoring and other safety services. It also promotes events and provides business support to North Lanarkshire town centre businesses.

Please contact us if you have any questions. For more information, see 'related pages', 'downloads' and 'other useful websites'.
