North Lanarkshire Council Ward 13 Fortissat

By-election - Thursday 7 September 2017

Scottish Labour Party candidate Clare Quigley has been elected to serve as an elected member in Ward 13 Fortissat of North Lanarkshire Council, following a by-election on Thursday 7 September.

The number of votes polled was 3,736, giving a percentage poll of 30.7%. The electoral quota was 1,845.

The number of first preference votes polled for each candidate was:

  • Charlie Cefferty, Independent - 184
  • Kyle Davidson, Scottish Green Party - 24
  • Daryl Gardner, UK Independence Party (UKIP) - 18
  • John Jo Leckie, A Better Britain - Unionist Party - 858
  • Norma McNab, Scottish Conservative and Unionist - 424
  • Mags Murphy, Scottish National Party - 761
  • Clare Quigley, Scottish Labour Party - 1,420

47 ballot papers were rejected.
