Three sessions will take place this month in Cumbernauld, Motherwell and Airdrie, providing people with the opportunity to share views on their own community needs and issues, as well as having their say on how local funding is used to benefit each community.

The events will take place:

·         Tuesday 17 April from 2pm till 8pm Venue: Freedom City Church Centre, St Mungo's Road, Cumbernauld Town Centre, Cumbernauld. This is open to anyone living  or working in the North area including Kilsyth.

·         Wednesday 18 April from 2pm till 8pm Venue: Glo Centre, 78 Muir Street, Motherwell. This is open to anyone living or working in Wishaw and Bellshill.

·         Thursday 19 April from 2pm till 8pm Venue: Airdrie Town Hall, Stirling Street, Airdrie. This is open to anyone living or working in Airdrie or Coatbridge.

Leanne Pollock, Community Partnership Manager at North Lanarkshire Council said, "With local people, groups and businesses being at the heart of communities, it's important for their views, concerns and ideas to be taken on board when making decisions about improvements to local neighbourhoods.

"These events will enable people to provide us with their views, which can really help shape communities, so it's worthwhile to participate and play a role in making a difference to where you live and work."

There will be information stalls, refreshments and children's arts and craft activities, so something for everyone.

People from local groups, forums and community councils are welcome to come along and get involved in discussions around your community. For more information please email communityplanning@northlan.gov.uk or call 01698-520503
