Built in the mid 1960s, Noble has a 4 storey mini tower block with an infant wing, another for administration facilities and with a purpose built hall which also serves as a gym and kitchen/cafeteria.

Noble is situated within an urban environment located at the north end of Bellshill. It is closely surrounded by a housing mix of the same era with more recent estates on the outer edges of a very mixed catchment area. Our main nursery provider is St Gerard's Primary Nursery Class on the adjoining campus while our associated secondary is Bellshill Academy.

We share facilities with the NLC Literacy Base and welcome visitors from areas local and national. In a joint initiative with St Gerard's Primary funding was secured to build a community play area which is being used to enhance our PE and Active Health provision.

The current staff entitlement is 12.5 teachers including the Head Teacher, Depute HT, 2 Principal Teachers, 8 Class Teachers and 2 Probationers. The Ancillary staff is made up of 3 Clerical Assistants, 3 Classroom Assistants and 2.5 ASN Assistants.

The Noble vision is to provide the very best and celebrate success in terms of

  • Inspired teaching
  • Learning experiences
  • Friendship
  • Health and well-being
  • Good behaviour
  • A safe environment

for the good of all members of the school community.

Staff are expected to provide a high standard of teaching and learning and ensure that the welfare of pupils is of paramount importance. All teachers are involved in the Professional Review and Development process, regular In-service and the School Improvement planning programme. Standards of discipline are maintained through the ethos of positive behaviour with a House System at the core.

A very enthusiastic and supportive Parent Council is established at Noble as our Partnership with Parents is strong.

At Noble Extra Curricular Activities are very important, including our annual visit to Kilbowie Outdoor Residential Centre near Oban.

Pupils normally transfer from primary to secondary between the ages of 11.5 and 12.5 so that they will have the opportunity to complete at least four years of secondary education. Pupils from Noble Primary normally transfer to Bellshilll Academy. The school has a good relationship with Bellshill Academy. Familiarisation visits allow those pupils transferring to become comfortable with their new situation. Likewise, parents will also have the opportunity to visit. Teachers from the various departments also visit Noble Primary to work with their new pupils while still in primary seven.
