Biodiversity Action Plan

Maintaining and protecting our local environment, habitats and other animals play a significant part in delivering our ambition to make North Lanarkshire the place to live, learn, work, invest and visit.

The plan sets out the actions we need to safeguard vulnerable species in North Lanarkshire, and to protect and enhance key habitats. This includes restoring peat bogs and creating freshwater habitats.
