Eligibility criteria
Grants are available to anyone aged 16 or over and applicants should normally have a low income, for example receive a benefit such as Income Support, Job Seekers Allowance or Pension Credit.
However, applicants do not have to be in receipt of a benefit to receive a grant. Anyone who has a low income, or does not have access to their money, can apply.

If you are in crisis you can apply for a grant by calling the Scottish Welfare Team on 0300 555 0405 or by email to swf@northlan.gov.uk. You can also apply online below.
When will I know if my application has been successful?
Applications for Crisis Grants will be processed by the end of the next working day. Community Care Grants will be processed within 15 working days.
A working day is defined as being between 9.am and 4:45pm. A working day does not include weekends and bank/public holidays.
