Notice of General Extension of Licensed Hours – The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee 2022

North Lanarkshire Licensing Board hereby gives notice that it has determined that a general extension to licensed hours should be granted under section 67 of the Licensing (Scotland) Act 2005 in respect of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations to be held on 2 to 5 June 2022.

The Board has agreed that on-sale licensed premises within the Board’s area should be permitted to operate during the following times:

  • Thursday 2 June 2022 until 1am on the morning of Friday 3 June 2022
  • Friday 3 June 2022 until 1am on the morning of Saturday 4 June 2022
  • Saturday 4 June 2022 until 1am on the morning of Sunday 5 June 2022
  • Sunday 5 June 2022 until 1am on the morning of Monday 6 June 2022

No application for these extensions is necessary since the hours are automatically extended for the relevant premises. However, there is no obligation on any on-sale premises licence holder to operate up to these terminal hours on these four dates.

If premises already operate to 1am on Fridays and Saturdays by virtue of the core on-sale hours contained within the operating plan of the premises licence, the premises cannot go beyond the terminal hour of 1am.
