Report an issue with a communal bin

Bin store areas for flatted properties generally have bulk bins available to collect waste. Residents will be required to access the bin store area to use the bulk bins or are able to use bin chute depending on your type of property.

Most of the flatted properties who use bulk bins are a general waste collection only, with the bins emptied every week.

Please make sure the collection crew can access the bins and that all waste and recycling is inside the bin, we will not uplift waste left beside the bins.

If you feel the bulk bins are overflowing and have not been emptied, please complete an online form.

Some other flatted properties have shared recycling bins to enable the residents to recycle paper, cardboard, cans, metals, glass and plastic containers.

Residents of high-rise properties can recycle most of their household waste by using the communal recycling points located near their flat.

Please make sure this material is clean and loose as we can’t accept any type of plastic bag in any of the recycling bins, as they can't be processed at the recycling centre and can result in the materials being sent to landfill at an additional cost for disposal. It also undoes the effort you have made to recycle.
