We are now moving forward with proposals for the future development of the South Cumbernauld Community Growth Area. This is a new housing area for Cumbernauld which will be developed over planned phases.

The South Cumbernauld housing area is divided into two land parcels known as Mid Forest and Palacerigg.
Mid Forest has Planning Permission in Principle granted for 600 houses. We are currently working with a developer partner to bring forward the first phases of up to 300 houses. Find out more about Mid Forest.
We are now making plans to move forward with the area known as Palacerigg. We have now completed the two phase public consultation first phase public consultation (closed) and second phase public consultation (closed). Both will inform plans for moving forward.
