Before you start

Inspectors are not needed to manage or inspect every activity and can’t be present at all times.

The supervision of building work is the duty of the relevant person (usually the building owner), who should hire an expert to run the work to make sure the standard of work meets guidelines.

A lack of supervision during building work can lead to the final product not being as designed. It could also lead to delays of getting a completion certificate.
