Broadband Installation for council house tenants

Helping you stay connected at home

All council homes will have ultra-fast and secure broadband installed over the next 5 to 7 years. The first phase of this programme will be a pilot and includes around 2,000 properties, from a wide range of property types. External works are already in progress for these homes with internal installations scheduled to begin in May 2026.

Where can I get more information about the pilot?

Tenants included in this first phase have been contacted directly and are being asked to attend any one of the following drop-in sessions taking place during April 2026. These sessions provide an opportunity to learn more about the process and to pre-book internal installation appointments.
