Tenant Participation ongoing events

As face-to-face meetings are now permitted, tenants have enjoyed meeting in person once again by attending our various engagement events. This has allowed us to reconnect with our tenants and enabled them to share their views about where they live. By taking these views into consideration, we have developed a series of tenant participation events.

Tenant Participation team events

We recognise that our tenants would like to see more events within their communities. Taking a locality-based approach allows us to become more accessible to tenants and residents while building stronger relationships within communities.

We want to hear your views on which events you would like to see in your area. Get in touch to share your views by emailing tenantparticipation@northlan.gov.uk or calling 01698 302 565 where you can leave a message and a member of the team will get back to you as soon as possible.

Upcoming events

We have been working in partnership with North Lanarkshire Federation of Tenants and Residents to develop a programme of events over the coming months, some of which can be attended either in-person or virtually. The details can be found below.

The cost of living crisis and steep increases in energy prices are continuing to impact on our ability to keep warm at home which can lead to increased levels of condensation in the home.

We have arranged an open meeting to offer advice on how to prevent dampness or condensation, help support tenants who are struggling to stay on top of bills, worried about rising costs, or need some help to be sure you are receiving all the benefits you are entitled to.

The session will feature presentations, advice, and support from Home Energy Scotland, our Tackling Poverty Team and Enterprise and Communities Team.

Our Housing Asset Management Plan 2021-2026 sets out our ambitions and priorities with key actions for the delivery of housing. There is a specific milestone on ‘Improve our understanding of tenants’ aspirations for their homes in order to better inform investment decisions.

The purpose of the focus group today is to ascertain what tenants feel are the most important priorities for investment; how important tenants feel dementia and disability design features are to make homes adaptable for changing needs, the importance of investing in energy efficiency measures and more generally tenants’ concerns about their own property.
