All Notices served by Built Environment Private Sector Services relative acts include:
- Sections 108, 114, 115, 116 of Housing (Scotland) Act 1987
- Sections 1, 3, 5, 31, 32, 33, 35, 36, 37, 38, 40, 42 of Housing (Scotland) Act 2006
- Sections 78, 79 and 80 of EPA 1990
Authorised council officers have the power to serve a notice on a residence, business or person. In some cases, if the person issued with the Notice does not do the required work, we may carry out the work and take steps to recover the money. Where this happens, the notice will stay on the register as being 'Extant' and with 'monies owed' until the money is paid back to the council.
