Background
The private rented sector (PRS) represents around 8% of all homes in North Lanarkshire, providing flexibility and choice for residents at different stages of life.
A well-functioning PRS is an essential part of the housing system, offering accessible and flexible housing options for current and prospective tenants. Following the introduction of the Housing (Scotland) Act 2025, we are developing a dedicated PRS Strategy that recognises the sector’s crucial role and identifies opportunities to improve the experience of both tenants and landlords.
