All feedback received during the 12 week statutory public consultation will be reviewed to inform the revised North Lanarkshire Core Paths Plan. A summary report will be produced and uploaded when available. Copies of the representations and objections can be viewed by appointment by emailing us.
Representations to the Core Paths Plan will be considered and the formal process for dealing with objections will be initiated. With input from the Local Access Forum we will contact and enter into dialogue with those who have made a valid objection. Please note a valid objection is one received within the consultation period and containing the name and address of the objector.
We will adopt the revised Core Paths Plan once all valid objections have been resolved.
If objections cannot be overcome then we will notify Scottish Ministers and a local inquiry will be arranged which will be overseen by an independent appointed reporter. The reporter will review all evidence and prepare a report and recommendations for the Minister who will determine the outcome and direct the council. The timescale for this element is out with our control and is likely to be from 2026 onward.
