We sometimes need to close paths to protect the public from danger or to allow essential work to take place.
Core path 328 - Pather Cemetery
From Monday 23 September 2024, the main path through Dimsdale Road (highlighted RED on the map below) will be temporarily closed to allow contractors to construct the new Pather Farm Cemetery. This will involve groundworks and moving machinery and will require the existing path to be out of use.

We apologise for any inconvenience whilst these works are taking place and thank you for your understanding.

Core path 36 - Kilsyth Flood Risk Reduction Scheme Works
Works are due to commence in the coming weeks on the Kilsyth Flood Risk Reduction Scheme.
From Monday 13 April 2026, sections of Core path 36 (highlighted RED on the map below) will be temporarily closed to allow the removal of a number of trees to facilitate construction of a raised footpath adjacent to the Mill Lade, within Colzium Estate Park.
Works will be phased where possible and alternative routes for park users will be suggested. These works are scheduled to last approximately 10 days.
Under section 6 and 15 of the Land Reform (Scotland) Act 2003, access rights will be temporarily excluded from this path due to works being carried out and in the interest of public safety.
Further works associated with the flood reduction scheme will be carried out in the coming months and details will be made available in advance.
We appreciate your patience and cooperation while these important works are carried out.
