A Call for Ideas is a process where organisations invite the public, stakeholders, or experts to submit their suggestions, proposals, or innovative concepts on a particular site, topic or project. This helps gather diverse perspectives and creative solutions, which can be used to inform and shape future plans or policies.
In the context of the Proposed Plan, the Call for Ideas will allow individuals and groups to contribute their thoughts on site selection and other relevant topics, ensuring a comprehensive and inclusive approach to planning.
Update
We’ve begun preparatory work for the upcoming Call for Ideas (including site submissions), which we anticipate launching in Quarter 3 (October to December).
Site Assessment Methodology
A key part of our preparatory work is establishing a site assessment methodology.
This methodology will be used to evaluate sites and inform allocations for the Proposed Plan. In line with NPF4 requirements, we are adopting a holistic approach to site selection and are currently in discussions with Homes for Scotland. We will continue to engage with Homes for Scotland and other stakeholders to develop this methodology.
Additionally, we will hold site-selection and topic-based stakeholder workshops to further explore site selection and supporting evidence, and to discuss and agree on future actions.
