Rediscovering Airdrie survey

Between June and August 2024, we invited the people of Airdrie and beyond to contribute their views on history and culture by participating in our survey. We are delighted that over 500 people kindly took the time to respond.

The survey was created to measure: interest in Airdrie's historical buildings; interest in Airdrieonians’ history; regeneration of the historic environment and repurposing buildings.

We are currently analysing the results and will post an update soon. In the meantime, as part of the survey we asked people to contribute positive words that describe Airdrie. The top words suggested were:

  • historic
  • friendly
  • community
  • home
  • pride
