Following consultation with tenants, residents, and local elected members to identify community needs and aspirations, our contractor Cruden pledged to deliver a number of community benefits.

Employment

Cruden recruited one new employee and two apprentices during this project.  

  • 1 Cleaner 
  • 2 apprentice Joiners

In addition to the new employee and apprentices, Cruden also completed six work experience placements throughout the time they were on-site. 

Career Events

Cruden delivered six career events to school pupils across North Lanarkshire:

  • October 2022, Cruden attended a DYW STEM event held at New College Lanarkshire - Coatbridge. 
  • November 2022, Cruden held two 'Classroom talk/ Meet the Apprentice' sessions at New College Lanarkshire - Coatbridge. 
  • November 2022, Cruden held two 'Classroom STEM' events at New College Lanarkshire - Coatbridge. 
  • March 2023, Cruden attended the 'STEM engagements for British Science Week' which was held by their in-house STEM Ambassador at St. Edwards Primary School. 

Supply Chain Briefing

In November 2023, Cruden held a 'Meet the Buyer' event.

Also, in November 2023, Cruden held two events. 

Non-financial Support

  • Cruden made a donation to Airdrie Foodbank in December 2022. 
  • Cruden donated to Shawhead Family Learning Centre in October 2023.
