Chryston High School extension

Chryston High School is a non-denominational secondary school, serving the Northern Corridor area and the associated non-denominational primary schools in Auchinloch, Chryston, Gartcosh, Moodiesburn and Stepps.

The majority of these areas have been, and continue to be, subject to significant house building in the last few years.

We have been increasing capacity within the primary school estate as a result. This project will look to increase the capacity of Chryston High School by an additional 500 pupils to ensure adequate spaces - reflecting the growth in the area, are provided.

This project will also look to create a design that facilitates community use of the building outwith the school day. In addition to providing additional spaces for secondary pupils, the project will also include space for Snowdrop Nursery to relocate into this new facility, strengthening connections between the school community and the third-sector nursery.

This project is the third project within the “Chryston Campus” and follows on from the Chryston Community Hub and Health Clinic project, along with upgrades to Moor Park. Together they show significant levels of investment and place-making within this local area.
