About the the UK Shared Prosperity Fund

The UK Shared Prosperity Fund is a central pillar of the UK government’s Levelling Up agenda and provides £2.6 billion of funding for local investment by March 2025.

The fund aims to improve pride in place and increase life chances across the UK investing in communities and place, supporting local business, and people and skills.

More information can be found at the UK Shared Prosperity Fund webpage.

The funding will be released over three years from 2022-2025 and the next stages will be to finalise projects which will be delivered in-house, commissioned by us or through grants and challenge funds to enable third-sector organisations, businesses and local groups to bid for funding.

We have engaged with a range of stakeholders to discuss priority interventions and will continue to engage as activities within the interventions are developed.
