The HIVE

Hive

Bring your business idea to life in 2024

Have you ever daydreamed about your business while sipping on your morning coffee?

Do you have a passion or hobby that you believe can generate an income?

Do you long to escape employment and begin your own business?

The HIVE is a new workspace helping North Lanarkshire women get started and grow in business. Based at One Wellwynd, Airdrie, the centre has been designed to help encourage and support more women realise their dream of being a business owner.

The HIVE provides a mix of:

  • desks
  • offices/meeting rooms
  • treatment rooms
  • on-site business advice and support
  • events and networking opportunities

And the centre is free to use until August 2024 (after which a subsidised, low-cost fee will apply until March 2025).

The HIVE is modern, welcoming and designed to meet the needs of the female business owners that will emerge within it. There is quiet space for concentration, open space, making conversations and collaboration possible, and treatment space fitted out to allow pop-up beauty and health and wellbeing businesses to operate discreetly.

Events

We run regular events and sessions each month:

  • Funding Fridays: at the end of every week, we discuss the availability of grant funding to support your business.
  • Master Your Marketing: join us on Thursday 23 May to learn the different market strategies that can help your business get noticed.
  • Meet The Advisor: come along and have a chat with our Business Gateway colleagues for business advice - Tuesday 14th May.
  • Expert Help: discover how you can access five days of fully funded consultancy support for your business - Thursday 2 May.

You will also be able to connect with others and build your support network.
