SNR 1 & SNR 7 (Coatbridge Town Centre)
This route is aimed at connecting Coatbridge to Muirhead, Coatbridge Town Centre, and communities in between, and will link into the SNR 6 route at Muirhead. SNR2 (Bellshill Road)
This route is aimed at connecting Motherwell and Bellshill as part of the wider SNR2 north to south route between Wishaw and Kilsyth, connecting the communities in between. The section of SNR2 on Bellshill Road north of Motherwell Rail Station to the Bellshill entrance to Strathclyde Country Park is currently undergoing concept and detailed design. SNR2 (Whifflet Street)
This route is aimed at connecting Whifflet Rail Station to Shawhead Interchange, connecting to the M8 Active Travel route. It is part of the wider SNR2 north to south route between Wishaw and Kilsyth, connecting the communities in between. Detailed designs have been developed for the section of SNR2 on Whifflet Street. SNR3 (Holytown to Eurocentral)
This route is aimed at improving the connection between Holytown Rail Station and Eurocentral, including a local link between Brittan Way, Coddington Crescent, McNeil Drive and Maxim Office Park. It forms part of the wider SNR3 between Wishaw and Croy, through Ravenscraig, Airdrie and Cumbernauld. Detailed designs have been developed for the section of SNR3 between Holytown and Eurocentral. It is aimed to start construction in Autumn 2026. More details on the project will be coming soon on this page.
SNR 6 (Stepps to Condorrat)
This route is aimed at connecting Stepps to Condorrat, Cumbernauld and communities in between, linking into the SNR 1 route at Muirhead. This feasibility study explores possibilities along Cumbernauld Road/A80, Main Road and Westfield Road. This route is currently undergoing feasibility and concept design.
