Roads Asset Management Plan

The Roads Asset Management Policy and Plan (RAMP) set out the approach for the management of North Lanarkshire’s Roads assets for the next four years and beyond, by implementing strategies that support and deliver the Roads Asset Management Policy objectives.

The RAMP establishes a comprehensive and structured framework for managing our critical infrastructure assets. By aligning with national, regional, and corporate priorities, the plan aims to ensure that asset management activities support wider strategic goals while providing a consistent, evidence-based approach to maintenance, renewal, and long-term planning.

The plan also sets out the key opportunities and financial challenges facing the service, emphasising the need for ongoing and sustained investment to maintain agreed service standards. Through this approach, the Plan aims to strengthen the long-term resilience and performance of the network, improve customer satisfaction, and ensure that the road infrastructure continues to meet community needs both now and in the future.
