Pay or appeal a fine

Cyber incident update

Impact of Glasgow City Council cyber incident on our service

You may be aware that Glasgow City Council is currently experiencing a cyber incident which is disrupting a number of their online services and which may have involved the theft of customer data on Wednesday 25 June 2025.

We are impacted, as Glasgow City Council processes penalty charge notices for parking fines and appeals on our behalf. The incident does not appear to affect the payment telephone line, which is still processing payments, although we anticipate this service to be busier than normal.

Please do not attempt to process a payment using the online service.

Interim arrangements:-

Payment of Fines - You can continue to use our automated payment line on 0330 041 4691 (option 4).

Appeals – Please email parkingservicessupport@glasgow.gov.uk or follow the procedures set out on the back of the PCN (penalty charge notice).

Glasgow City Council has stated that no council financial systems have been affected and no details of bank accounts or credit/debit cards processed by those systems have been compromised.

We continue to work with Glasgow City Council to resolve the situation.

No other online services for the council are affected.

Glasgow City Council is conducting an investigation into the incident, alongside Police Scotland, the Scottish Cyber Coordination Centre (SC3) and the National Cyber Security Centre.

If you are contacted by someone claiming to have your data, you should contact Police Scotland on 101 or call the Cyber Incident Response Helpline on 0800 1670 623You can also report this in person at any police station.

Our parking attendants can issue Penalty Charge Notices (PCN) to vehicles that do not comply with the parking rules.

PCNs are £100, reducing to £50 if paid within 14 days.

They will show the reason for the notice and the date, time and place the parking offence took place.

More information about parking enforcement can be found on the FAQ page.

You can also use our automated payment line on 0330 041 4691.
