Earth Hour 2021

Watch our Earth Hour video, made with the works of North Lanarkshire pupils, and get inspiration to join the Great Scottish Canvas.

As part of our preparations for COP26, which is being held in Glasgow in November this year, we ran an Earth Hour competition for pupils attending a North Lanarkshire school.

They sent us their artwork and poems and we have received over 400 entries! Well done to all who entered. It's been a really hard task reducing the entries to a final few featured in this video.

We hope you enjoy their work as they show and tell us how they feel about climate change.

The Great Scottish Canvas

Scotland has declared a climate emergency and in North Lanarkshire we have a target of net ZERO carbon emissions by 2030. This year the WWF Scotland would like you to consider celebrating Earth Hour 2021 by taking part in the Great Scottish Canvas.

We still want you to switch off on Saturday at 8.30 pm; however, this is an opportunity for you to put your creative talents to use. Entries can be a picture, poem or a written piece.

Why not take part with a chance of your work being exhibited at the new Scottish Parliament or for COP26 which is being held in Glasgow in November.
