Active literacy teacher training pack cost - £110 + VAT
This training pack aims to support the delivery of the Active Literacy approach. It is intended to support professional learning in literacy and complements the stage-specific Active Literacy teaching booklets which are sold separately. The pack has Teaching Notes and six DVDs.
It is advisable that teachers using this training pack have access to the relevant teaching booklets since the purpose of the accompanying DVD footage and notes is to exemplify and explain the practice which is recommended in them.
The materials in this pack support classroom practice and professional dialogue. The clips exemplify most aspects of the Active Literacy approach: reading, writing, phonics and spelling, with talking and listening opportunities throughout this integrated approach.
The accompanying teaching notes aim to provide teachers with a synopsis of the main teaching points with suggested discussion points. These discussion points may also prompt self-evaluation and promote lifelong professional development.
