Parents and carers of children who turn five between 1 March 2026 and 29 February 2027 should register during the week starting Monday 12 January 2026 for starting primary 1 in August 2026.
Parents and carers should take their children to the appropriate local primary school during that week at the times designated by the school.
You must produce a birth certificate(s) and a current council tax notice.

Parents and carers who intend to defer entry for their child to primary school and wish for an additional year of funded early learning and childcare should register their child for school as described above and complete the deferred entry form.
