UP2U is a domestic abuse behaviour change programme designed to help people make positive changes to their behaviour in their relationships.
The programme is for males or females who are aged 16 or over and who have been convicted of a domestic abuse offence and are subject to social work supervision in North Lanarkshire.
UP2U is an assessment led intervention offering tailored treatment packages to suit the individual's needs and level of risk.
The programme can range from 6 to 40 sessions, with the option of extended sessions where risk and need indicate.
It can be undertaken in a group setting or on a 1:1 or 2:1 basis.
Partner support service
Before any individual starts the programme, their partner and/or ex-partner will be offered support and guidance during the period of UP2U intervention.
This is a voluntary service and can be kept confidential from the individual undertaking the UP2U programme.
The support offered is tailored to suit the needs of the person and their family. If the person has a child or children, we will also work jointly with partner agencies to provide support for those children affected by domestic abuse.
