Are you feeling suicidal?

Don't struggle alone with thoughts of suicide.

Talking to someone you know or a professional could be more useful than you realise, particularly if you're struggling with dark thoughts. It starts with a conversation.

For some people, it will feel more comfortable to talk with a friend or family member. For others it is easier to talk to someone they don't know, particularly someone who is prepared and waiting to hear from them. Both are equally valid - it's about doing what you can to get talking.

A person with suicidal thoughts might not look or sound suicidal

Life’s obstacles can be a trigger for feelings of suicide. And it can happen to anyone. Let's talk.

If you are feeling suicidal, it can be difficult to bring the subject up and find the words to describe your feelings, particularly if you're not good at opening up in the first place. You may feel worried about how someone will react. But people are often more willing to listen than you might think.

There are many types of support available but the important thing is to start talking to someone. Talking to a friend or a professional is almost always the first step towards feeling better.
