The Equality Act 2010 has placed a number of duties on public bodies like the council. One of the duties is the general duty and it requires us to take action to address discrimination and disadvantage experienced by particular groups of people.
We develop strategies to say how we will tackle discrimination and disadvantage and publish reports showing our progress.
