Community resilience packs

Resilience packs on offer to help communities during emergencies

A range of useful equipment to help communities respond to emergency situations, such as adverse weather or extended power loss, is being provided to local groups in North Lanarkshire.

The packs contain several items including:

  • snow shovels
  • torches
  • cold weather grip gloves
  • hand warmers
  • emergency foil blankets
  • first aid kits.

This year two-way radios, megaphones, and other materials to assist with local communications are also being made available.

The response from volunteer groups is crucial in supporting the council and key partners, such as Police Scotland and NHS Lanarkshire, to ensure the continued delivery of critical services.

The Community Partnership Team has been handing the packs out to community groups across the nine community board areas.

For more information on the packs, please email communitymatters@northlan.gov.uk
