Working within communities

Accessibility and Inclusion across our Communities

We want everyone to be able to access free period products, period dignity information and support. We are improving accessibility and reducing barriers to help more residents get the information and products they need.

Easier Information

We created Easy Read leaflets to make information clearer and easier to understand.

The leaflets use:

  • simple language
  • clear layouts
  • visual images and prompts

They were designed to support people living with disabilities, their families and carers.

Finding free period products across community locations

The leaflets help residents learn:

  • What the Period Dignity Campaign is
  • Where free period products are available
  • How to access local support

They include information about over 100 community locations where products can be collected.

Reducing Barriers

Accessible information helps more people take part and access support and resources.

By providing information in different formats, we can:

  • Improve understanding
  • Increase confidence
  • Support informed choice
  • Reduce barriers to access

Looking Ahead

We continue to explore new ways of making information more accessible and inclusive.

This includes testing new approaches, such as visual and digital content, to help more residents access information in a way that works for them.
