Digital Zones

We've launched two new digital zones in Coatbridge and Chryston.

In our commitment to digital inclusion, we are excited to launch two new Digital Zones as part of a pilot project.

Located within Coatbridge and Chryston Library, these spaces are designed to provide residents, partners, and local organisations with access to cutting-edge technology and resources, fostering digital skills and confidence.

In response to community feedback, each Digital Zone is equipped with modern digital infrastructure, including:

  • Free Wi-Fi, printing, and scanning services.
  • Devices for online learning and public services.
  • Staff support to assist with digital needs.
  • Flexible access - drop-in or bookable spaces.
  • Adaptive technology such as large monitors, optical mice, noise-cancelling headphones, and voice recognition software.

Residents can drop-in or book a space by phoning or emailing the library direct.
