Our Local Transport Strategy (LTS) sets out our vision for transport over the period 2026–2036, to deliver a well-connected, sustainable, accessible and resilient transport system that supports economic growth, health and wellbeing, and the safe movement of people and goods.
It ensures the transport system reflects the current needs of people who live, work and spend time in North Lanarkshire, while preparing for the challenges and opportunities ahead. The LTS has been shaped by Transport Scotland’s latest guidance and informed by the Scottish Transport Appraisal Guidance (STAG), as well as the results of the robust engagement and consultation that was undertaken on it and the supporting documents.
