Summer placements
This initiative offers employers a valuable opportunity to give something back to their community by helping young people gain essential workplace skills. It is also a chance for employers to make a positive impact on the local workforce by supporting young people in developing a strong foundation in the industry.
A number of employers supported the programme in 2024 and 2025. As we move forward, we would like to get more businesses involved.
Students are recruited by us and matched to placements according to their skills, knowledge and career aspirations.
Employer Engagement Webinar
The NL Academies and Summer Placements teams will be hosting an employer engagement webinar where we’ll be sharing exciting opportunities for employers to get involved in our Summer Placement Programme.
This webinar is a chance for local businesses and organisations to learn more about how they can support and benefit from engaging with talented young people through meaningful summer placements. Details will be shared about the programme’s impact, how it works, and the support available to employers who take part.
