Payment card data security

We take credit and debit card payments for a range of goods and services – such as theatre tickets, special uplifts, council tax and housing rents. We must take card payments in a way that protects us and our customers from data breaches and fraud.

The Payment Card Data Security Policy provides a framework to effectively protect the security of all card payments we receive and process. It sets out how we – and anyone who operates on our behalf to deliver or supply services – process credit and debit card payments securely in line with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Managed by the Payment Card Industry Security Standards Council, this is a mandatory information security standard that applies worldwide to every organisation that stores, processes, or transmits cardholder data.
