Young Persons’ Free Bus Travel

Young people aged 16 to 21

The Transport Scotland Pass Collect app allows people aged 16-21 who already have a Young Scot National Entitlement Card (NEC) to download free bus travel onto their existing card.

This means you don't need to apply for a replacement card, unless you want to change your photograph or other details.

The Transport Scot Pass Collect APP can be downloaded from Apple and Google:

If you don't have your current card or want to change your photograph or other details go to Get Your NEC and select "Get a replacement/update card". You will require the existing card number (the 16 digit number directly under the name on the card).

If you don’t have the existing card number or don’t have a Young Scot card, select "Apply for a Young Scot card".

Video guidance is available at:

Other application methods will be supported if there are specific reasons you are not able to apply online at Get Your NEC. If this is the case please email youngscot@northlan.gov.uk
